The Number Shop is proud to present Thomas Whittle’s first solo exhibition in Scotland, I Against I: Part III. This exhibition will continue Whittle’s inquiry into plurality within an artists’ practice, the representation of space and the romantics of making art. These images produce a space both physical and mental where our perception of three dimensional representation within two dimensions is questioned. Whittle’s new works, developed in the darkroom, continue the themes of the solo exhibitions I Against I: Part I and Part II shown at the Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art in 2012.
